Passionate about Waterbeach’s historical heritage
Born a stone’s throw away from Avignon, I grew up fascinated by the world beyond. The sight of the broken bridge across Le Rhône river was a constant reminder that if you don’t look after your surroundings, it decays and becomes dysfunctional. It applies equally to our environment and our historical heritage and makes us who we are ...
As an only child, I sought friends wherever I could and I was always looking for meaning in things around me. When I moved to Waterbeach a few years ago, a village where modernity and history exist side by side, I discovered the bridge I wanted to re-build.
Waterbeach Mysteries is a series of historical novels written by Marie-Camille Grangier for young adults and adults that are young at heart. All the illustrations for the book have been done by Marie-Camille Grangier herself.
It is the story of a group of friends growing up in Waterbeach. They love its historical heritage and want to preserve it - even if it requires them to turn into amateur sleuths and find the people who are messing with it. They are also kids who have fun and like doing naughty things.
